License amnesty program to get legal with all your Delphi, C++Builder and RAD Studio licenses

Embarcadero is offering a license amnesty program for users, companies and organizations who may not be sure about the status of their Delphi, C++Builder or RAD Studio licenses.

In various ways (license sharing, illegal downloads), users may be using copies of the software that isn't correctly licensed, With the license amnesty program, you can buy Delphi XE, C++Builder XE, or RAD Studio XE and obtain free earlier version licenses for most versions back to Delphi 7 and C++Builder 6 as well as getting legal forgiveness for earlier illegal use of any of those versions.

This program is only available if you purchase XE licenses on your own. If Embarcadero or a license enforcement agency or organization have already identified an issue then the amnesty program does not apply and you may have further liability. This is just a good opportunity to get legal licenses on your own, before you're caught, and reduce your risk and your users' risk.

You can find out more about the program at http://www.embarcadero.com/get-legal

It is very fine withthe license amnesty program, except for the fact that the registation does not work.

Where I work we have bougfht licens for Delphi 2007 and upgrade licens. but We could NOT activate the Delphi 2007, so we cracked it.

Now we try to install our 100% legal Delphi XE but it does not work ... And wors is that i can nod find a working crack :o(

I do not support illigal software, but as long at the number of licens match the number of installations it is not realy illigal to use a cracked version ...

So dear friends before offering a "license amnesty program" PLEASE meke the registration work ....

I would so like to see Delphi continue for many years, but I have to say we constantly consider other options because the licensing is so unreliable and onorous.

IMO, Embarcadero should make it stupid simple to register and then support without question when a developer upgrades their machine or has a machine crash and the need to reload.

If you're having a licensing or registration issue, please submit a support case at http://support.embarcadero.com so they can look into the problem and fix it.

We process at least 10,000 registrations per month and the vast majority of users don't have problems. It would really help if users who are having issues let us know about them.
