Our web team just launched the new look for the Delphi and C++Builder Application Showcase.

In addition, there are some newly added apps and it now supports multiple screen shots for each application.
If you haven't submitted your application and screen shots yet, see the links at the bottom of the App Showcase page to do it.

I like the presentation. It gives an impressive overview. What I miss is the possibilty to zoom the Screenshots and licence information to every programm (open source, freeware, comercial etc.).
One giant step backwards, again.
And it does not allow language filtering, and the browse is so fast that I only can see a blur in IE9RC (works well in IE8), and it does not capture mouse leave and continues browsing forever (both in IE9 and IE8), and sometimes the images do not shows when doing click over a project...
Yes, this is a sample of how NOT to do WEB stuff.
The showcase preamble says :-

A quick glance through application showcase and I spotted these (I am sure there are more if I looked more closely ) :-
1) IcoFX : Not updated since 2008. Written in Turbo Delphi explorer. Status ?
2) Partition Magic : Officially Defunct product since late 2009. Last release was 8.05 in May 2004 !
3) Yahoo Go for TV : Service Defunct since early 2010.
That is besides several others Im aware of that are developed in Delphi 7 or earlier.
So in my opinion how does the showcase tally with what is stated in the preamble ?
I also question why you cannot filter by language and why presentation is browsing forever and wrapping round like that ?
Needs control - it's chaotic. I would like to recommend this and forward the link but I can't at present. If it can stop scrolling out of control and give us some good old arrows to move around it will be "okay". Please whoever is responsible, keep working on it.
It's definitely much better than the old one! I like the grid pattern.
My only issue is controlling it is quite hard - the first time I used it I moved my mouse over one of the entries at the top to click it, and everything started scrolling really fast. Perhaps a slightly more normal UI solution, like a scrollbar (!) might be better?

Nice Presentation/Layout.
Horrible User Interaction.
Bottom line: Totally unusable because ergonomically inept.
A very good example of what NOT to do in UI.
When you click an application, you get a description of the application and a screen shot. This screen shot isn't visible in the Opera browser.
New UI = New Unusable Interface ???
